Appalachian Summer Tea: a light, refreshing herbal blend of plants harvested at their peak and super delightful served chilled. Hibiscus, Lemon Balm, Lemon Grass, Nettle, Wild Bee Balm, Rosehips and a touch of Spearmint make for a perfect cool down.
St. John’s Wort Oil: magical St. John’s Wort’s bright yellow flowers release their resinous medicine when infused in oil, becoming a bright red skin soothing serum for burns or abrasions. I collected the flowers on my favorite East Tennessee mountain last fall and gave them a nice, long Winter’s steep to be ready when we need it most.
Wound Paint: an Appalachian anti-bacterial powerhouse of Goldenseal, Balm of Gilead, Walnut Hull & Yarrow in a user friendly jar with it’s own handy lid- brush for painting on to cuts and wounds.
Best Balm: a salve of sunshine—Calendula flowers, Comfrey, Frankincense, and the increasingly-precious Balm of Gilead with a touch of beeswax. Safe for babes and big people alike, it is a soothing comfort for irritated skin.
